The PTA’s Health and Fitness Committee was proud to host Chef Eric Gephardt of Chef’s Academy in Morrisville for a healthy cooking demonstration during the Jeffreys Grove Global Fest on March 20, 2014. Students and parents loved sampling the sweet potato pancakes and were inspired to taste and learn healthy cooking ideas.
Chef Gephardt is a graduate of the UNC Wilmington and the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY. His many awards include: Wilmington NC Best New Restaurant, 2008; Wilmington North Carolina Top Chef, 2010; 40 Under 40, Triangle Business Journal, 2013. Since joining the Chef’s Academy at Harrison College in Morrisville NC in 2011 as a Lead Chef Instructor, Eric Gephart has shared with his students his passion for the culinary industry and working in the kitchen. He is truly committed to promoting and sharing healthy cooking with students and the community.
